The Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) employs a Designer Selection Committee (DSC) to select architects, engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals. The DSC serves a valuable and pivotal role in protecting the Commonwealth’s interest in the selection of qualified design professionals by ensuring that selections are fair
and result in the best qualified firm performing the desired services. Moreover, the committee members are provided an outstanding opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the development and construction of public housing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The DSC and its members play a substantial role in the creation of affordable housing for the citizens of Massachusetts.
